Last night's game went the way it should have gone. Jacksonville showed itself to be a paper tiger and the Patriots showed they deserve to be in the show. But the hardest part for the Pats remains ahead. Whether they face Indy or Denver next week remains to be determined, but either way, next week's game will be harder.
Two things did surprise me last night. I was surprised Bruschi didn't play at all and I was surprised Dillon didn't play until the second quarter. At least Dillon not playing was explained by Kevin Faulk's performance. Dillon just does not look like he did last year. Is it injury related? Surely. Is it age related? That remains to be seen. If he's healthy next year, we'll find out.
